Simone has an extensive career in housing, homelessness and domestic and family violence. Simone holds a firm belief in housing justice and the importance of safe, affordable housing for individuals and communities to thrive. She has worked across all tiers of Government and in the non-profit sector. Simone’s career began in community development where she saw the value of including people with lived experience in policy and decision making. As Chair of the Social Housing Tenancy Advisory Committee (SHTAC) for Housing NSW, Simone worked with tenants and Government to improve housing outcomes.

Simone was Deputy CEO of Women’s Community Shelters and more recently Chief Operating Officer at Bridge Housing, a Tier 1 Community Housing Provider. Across both organisations Simone led operations and delivered service innovation. At WCS, Simone led the growth of the shelter model through core and cluster and meanwhile use housing. At Bridge, Simone was committed to delivering integrated housing pathways, including Supported Temporary Accommodation and strong partnerships – such as the forever home for the Haymarket Foundation.
