Shelter NSW has recently submitted to the NSW Government Drug Summit which focused on a ‘Theory of Change’ model which aims to address the problem of accessing housing security linked with treatment support services for people with drug-related harm and those existing in the criminal justice system. We know that by increasing housing opportunities for this group, health outcomes improve and they are more able to seek long-term treatment and support options.
