Shelter NSW AGM 2025 and Season’s Greetings

It wouldn’t be the end of the year without an Annual General Meeting! On Wednesday 3 December, Shelter NSW invited its members to come together for one final event, our AGM.

Shelter NSW CEO, John Engeler, and Chair of the Board, Simone Parsons, shared their reflections with members and our 2024/25 financial statement, alongside resolutions on the Shelter NSW constitution.

Shelter NSW members were honoured to welcome the Member for Wentworth, Ms Allegra Spender MP to share her thoughts on the state of the Australian housing system. We thank Ms Spender for her interest in and support for our work, and look forward to working with her in the new year to promote housing justice. We would also like to extend that thanks to our board and all members who were able to join us on the night. Thank you for your engagement and for the enlightening conversations before and after the formal proceedings.

For those who were unable to attend, and for those wishing to dig a little deeper, you can find the Shelter NSW Annual Report 2024-25 on our website.

Shelter NSW, much like an AGM, is nothing without the valuable contributions of its members. Year after year, Shelter is able to continue to undertake important advocacy work thanks to the support we receive from our members.

Shelter NSW team wishes you all a happy and restful holiday period! We look forward to continuing to work alongside you all in the new year.
