Queers in Property and All Nations Co-op Housing Project

Shelter New South Wales was happy to attend the launch and fundraiser by Arup and Queers in Property in support of the ‘All Nations Housing Co-op’.

In its advisory role to Sydney City Council, Shelter supported a project in which the council dedicated seven heritage-listed cottages to the development of a housing cooperative. That project is now called All Nations Housing Co-op.  The Housing Co-op project sits under Common Equity NSW, the peak housing body for co-op housing across NSW.

The project had financial support from the City of Sydney Council, Homes NSW, and the Federal Government. This is one of those projects where all levels of government come together to deliver homes to a marginalised group. Shelter NSW acknowledges the hard work of Eddie Ma, an active member of Shelter, and the architect working on the design and development of this project. We wish the project all the best as it moves forward.
