In October last year, Shelter NSW was thoroughly represented and involved in the AHURI National Housing Conference in Brisbane. We were delighted to be asked to participate in a panel on regional housing challenges and opportunities, facilitated by Dr Kim Houghton from the Regional Australia Institute.
Policy Officer, Kayla Clanchy, spoke about the cumulative challenges in some regional areas of NSW due to COVID migration changes, conversions of homes to short-term holiday accommodation, and big infrastructure/energy projects. You can watch the session (which has become publicly available only recently) here.
