New Aboriginal Homelessness service launched

Shelter NSW CEO John Engeler was very happy to recently attend the launch of a new Aboriginal Specialist Homelessness Services at Kimberwalli located at Bidwill. This launch recognised a major step forward in supporting the Aboriginal Community through culturally appropriate and comprehensive homelessness services. The hub, run by Birribee Housing will provide holistic support including referrals to culturally appropriate Mental Health Services, Assistance with Housing Pathways Portal and Cultural Connection Activities. Shelter NSW supports this approach aimed at addressing the unique needs of the Aboriginal Community, and share the hope for greater stability, resilience and pathways to sustainable housing.
