February 1 saw the formal creation of the new centralised coordinating agency called Homes NSW. It is tasked with turbocharging the construction, maintenance and repair of social and affordable homes across our state and importantly, putting people, tenants at the heart of its operations.
Homes NSW brings together:
- housing and homelessness services of the NSW Department of Communities and Justice,
- the NSW Land and Housing Corporation,
- the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office and,
- key worker housing
Our CEO John Engeler was proud to join Minister Jackson, Ms Pinkstone and tenants at the Homes NSW launch at Daceyville – speaking about our hopes and expectations for Homes NSW (featured here in this short video).
