The Economics and Inclusion Advisory Committee has recently put some tough questions to the Commonwealth. Questions like why-are-Australia’s-unemployment-payments-so-inadequate? And why is Commonwealth Rental Assistance no match for the types of rents in the private market?  With some speculation that the Treasurer will make a ‘housing announcement’ of some sort next week we remain hopeful that some meaningful change will be made.
