In April 2023, The City of Sydney Council resolved to commission a study to report on the impact “short-term rental accommodation” has on rental affordability and availability, and tourist accommodation in the LGA.

The City of Sydney is calling for feedback from residents and property owners to help inform their own studies into “short term rental accommodation” impacts and what the City should advocate to the State Government in terms of localised reforms. Feedback is sought via survey responses due Monday 5 February, but this page also has details on where to send an email with your thoughts.
