Shelter NSW has recently engaged with Burwood Council (both in person and through a written submission) on their community vision, strategic direction and planning framework for the revitalisation of the Burwood North Precinct – a 17-hectare site integrated with the Burwood North Metro Station and the Burwood Town Centre. We took the opportunity to inform on the comprehensive LEP review to introduce affordable rental housing clauses before a Masterplan is prepared for both the precinct and wider Local Government Area.
