On Monday 2 June, Shelter NSW welcomed Drew Beacom to our team in the position of Housing Officer. Drew has significant experience in political campaigns and community organising, joining Shelter after finishing his role as Campaign Coordinator during the most recent federal election. Drew is passionate about housing justice and working with community, government and industry to create solutions that work to support secure housing for all.  

In this role, Drew will work closely with Senior Policy Officer, Thomas Chailloux, analysing and developing housing policy and campaigns informed by our members and stakeholders. Having worked previously as a community organiser for the Australian Conservation Foundation, Drew has experience engaging with politicians, decision makers, industry and community organisations, including the Sydney Alliance. He looks forward to work closely with the Alliance and all Shelter members to drive housing solutions.
