50 years of housing justice advocacy: Join us to reflect and celebrate

Shelter NSW, for its 50th year, applied for a ‘Local Small Commitments Allocation’ to run events celebrating our past work in pursuit of housing justice. Very aptly, we received $50,000. We hope that through these events, we can continue our 50-year streak of raising awareness of housing and homelessness issues and advocating for housing justice. Every event we run will be free! We are organising walking tours of the ‘Green Bans’ in the Rocks and tours focused on the queer history of certain Sydney neighbourhoods, building on our report on intersectionality of housing and the LGBTQIA+ experience, a photography exhibition, a film screening, workshops, and much more to come. We are still working through the detail of some events and planning even more so stay tuned. All members and friends of Shelter NSW are welcome and encouraged to get involved in as many activities as possible.  We hope to see every one of you at one of our events soon.

Check out what we have released so far!
