Sydney Alliance Solidarity Seminars: Housing crisis, housing justice, and what Shelter NSW does about it

How can you change the system, as a small organisation, in the face of powerful vested interests? By sharing your message with others, educating them about systemic issues, and hoping they will amplify your message far and wide!

This is, in a nutshell, the core of the Sydney Alliance Solidarity Seminars. Talking about the biggest contributors to inequality and division in society, including our starkly unfair housing system. Shelter NSW Senior Policy Officer, Thomas Chailloux, was pleased to deliver a two-hour training module about housing and homelessness, the need for housing justice, and the role of policy, legislation and planning in shaping and addressing the housing needs and aspirations we all have.

Thomas also spoke about the role of systemic advocacy and how civil society can take action to demand a fair and just housing system and society. Shelter NSW hopes to continue engaging with and inspiring with the next generation of advocates and change makers, and looks forward to working with them in the future.
