Ku-Ring-Gai Council has been hard at work developing an affordable housing policy framework in collaboration with community members. As part of this work, the Council developed an affordable housing options paper in 2024. It also commissioned a brochure explaining what affordable housing is.  

Shelter NSW submitted comments on the early affordable housing draft strategy. We’ve also been working closely with local community members supporting them in their response to the Council’s transport-orientated development proposal and the delivery of affordable housing options.  

The community representatives have worked with Council to deliver an ambitious draft affordable housing strategy, along with a community brochure explaining the purpose of affordable housing. The final affordable housing draft policy is on exhibition between 3 February and 3 March.
